Design & Configuration

The Macintosh curved geometry is intended to be positioned in the vallecula to indirectly lift the epiglottis and expose the glottis for tube passage. The 150 mm overall length provides additional reach for larger adult anatomies. The flexible distal tip permits controlled angulation at the blade tip to fine-tune the view of the laryngeal inlet without requiring excessive manipulation of the patient’s head or the operator’s wrist, potentially reducing the need for forceful levering. Fiber optic illumination is routed along the blade to provide consistent, shadow-minimizing light at the working field.
