Clinical Application
An angled down bone curette with a 4 mm working bowl is used to remove or shape small amounts of cortical and cancellous bone, collect bone graft or biopsy specimens, and perform focused debridement in confined surgical fields. Common applications include orthopedics (small-joint work, hand and foot procedures), spine and neurosurgery for focal laminotomies or facet work, oral and maxillofacial procedures, and ENT where access to oblique surfaces or deep pockets is required.
Design & Configuration
The downward-angled shaft places the bowl in a more ergonomic orientation for reaching undersurfaces and posterior aspects without excessive wrist manipulation. The 4 mm scoop provides a balance between tissue removal efficiency and precision for delicate bony contours. The 25 cm overall length gives additional reach for deeper operative corridors while maintaining tactile feedback at the tip for controlled curettage.
