Clinical Application
This straight Lambotte bone osteotome is designed for controlled chisel-like cutting and sculpting of cortical and cancellous bone. It is used to perform precise osteotomies, remove small bone segments, create graft beds, and trim bone edges during orthopedic, trauma, reconstructive and select hand/foot procedures. The 25 mm blade width provides a broad cutting surface for efficient removal of larger bone segments while maintaining directional control.
Design & Configuration
The straight shaft transfers axial force directly to the cutting edge, allowing consistent control when used with manual mallet strikes or hand pressure. The Lambotte pattern features a robust, chisel-style blade geometry that balances a wide cutting face with a profile suitable for accurate, flat cuts. The 24 cm overall length affords additional reach and leverage in deeper operative fields without excessive shaft flex.
