Clinical Application
This straight Miller blade is designed to facilitate direct laryngoscopy and tracheal intubation in neonates and very small infants. The short 45 mm #00 profile is intended for use in confined neonatal airways where visualization of the glottis requires direct elevation of the epiglottis. It is used in operating rooms, delivery suites, NICUs and pediatric emergency settings for airway establishment and assisted ventilation.
Design & Configuration
The Miller conventional pattern features a straight, narrow blade geometry that permits direct lifting of the epiglottis to expose the vocal cords. The compact 45 mm length and slim cross-section reduce tongue and soft-tissue displacement, improving line-of-sight in neonatal anatomy. Integrated bulb illumination positioned near the distal blade decreases shadowing at the laryngeal inlet and assists rapid visualization during intubation attempts.
