Clinical Application
This keyed Jacob chuck provides a secure, concentric grip on small round-shank instruments used in minor orthopedic, ENT, dental and neurosurgical procedures as well as in surgical instrument sets and procedure trays. It is intended for holding drill bits, pins, burs and similar round shank accessories where controlled manual or low-speed powered rotation and reliable axial alignment are required.
Design & Configuration
The keyed three-jaw configuration offers a positive mechanical lock that increases clamping torque and reduces slippage compared with keyless options. The self-centering jaw geometry maintains concentric alignment of the mounted accessory, improving accuracy during drilling, tapping and wire work. The 0–6.5 mm holding range accommodates the common sizes of surgical drills and pins used in procedural sets.
