Clinical Application
Designed for safe and efficient removal of dressings, bandages and tubing in clinical and perioperative settings. The blunt lower tip protects skin and underlying tubing when sliding the blade beneath adhesive materials, reducing the risk of accidental laceration. Common uses include removal of postoperative dressings, trimming wound packing, cutting IV or drainage tubing at the bedside, and routine use in clinics, emergency departments, PACU and operating rooms.
Design & Configuration
The angled/offset blade geometry allows the lower blade to slide flat under dressings and tubing while keeping the cutting edge clear of the skin. The blunt safety tip on the lower blade provides a physical barrier between the blade and patient, improving control during close-quarter cuts. At 18 cm length the instrument balances reach and tactile control for both bedside procedures and instrument trays. A black finish improves visual contrast and may reduce glare under procedural lighting for quick identification on a busy tray.
