Clinical Application
Designed to capture, pass and release suture needles in confined or difficult-to-access operative fields, this instrument is intended for fine-tissue suture placement where controlled, single-handed needle handling is required. Typical applications include ophthalmic and periocular procedures, delicate plastic and reconstructive work, ENT procedures and microsurgical or deep-wound suturing where a long, narrow profile improves access and visualization.
Design & Configuration
The sliding needle-capture mechanism permits secure engagement and deliberate release of the needle without a conventional ratchet, enabling single-handed operation and rapid needle exchanges. The 23 cm length provides additional reach into deeper cavities and narrow wound tracks while the Fig.2 working pattern corresponds to a slender shaft and a fine tip profile that emphasize tactile feedback and precise control when positioning the needle.
