Clinical Application
This straight eye probe is intended for atraumatic exploration and assessment of lumens, sinus tracts, fistulae and wounds where visualization is limited. The small 2 mm eyelet at the tip permits threading of suture, ligature, guidewire, or drain material through narrow passages, facilitating probing, tract delineation, stent or catheter placement, and guided tissue approximation. Common clinical settings include general surgery, ENT, plastic and reconstructive procedures, oral/maxillofacial work, and minor procedures in outpatient clinics and surgery centers.
Design & Configuration
The instrument's 20 cm overall length provides reach into deeper cavities while remaining manageable in confined operative fields. A straight, slender shaft minimizes tissue disruption during insertion and withdrawal. The 2 mm eyelet is sized to accept fine suture or guide material while maintaining a low-profile tip for atraumatic passage. A smooth plated finish reduces friction against tissue and aids in controlled manipulation when probing delicate structures.
Instrument Specifications
