Clinical Application

The Goligher rectal retractor is used to provide sustained exposure of the anal canal and distal rectum during open anorectal procedures. It facilitates direct visualization and access for hemorrhoidectomy, excision of perianal disease, fissure and fistula procedures, mucosal work and transanal operative steps where circumferential or sectoral retraction of the anal verge and distal rectal mucosa is required. The availability of two‑blade and four‑blade configurations allows the surgeon to select focal or broader exposure depending on patient anatomy and the staged requirements of the operation.

Design & Configuration

The instrument set is configured to accept interchangeable blade assemblies so the operative team can quickly convert between a two‑blade arrangement for targeted retraction and a four‑blade arrangement for circumferential exposure.
