Clinical Application
This medial retractor blade is intended for use with Caspar cervical retractor systems to facilitate anterior cervical spine exposure. It provides focused medial retraction of soft tissue, allowing the surgeon to maintain a stable surgical corridor to the disc space and vertebral bodies during procedures such as anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) and other anterior cervical approaches.
Design & Configuration
The 70 x 24 mm profile delivers a balance between reach and a narrow footprint. The 70 mm length is designed to extend to the operative field while the 24 mm blade width minimizes lateral bulk within the wound, reducing obstruction and tissue compression in the confined cervical anatomy. As a medial blade, it is shaped to seat securely against deep soft tissue or bony margins and mount to the Caspar retractor frame for stable, hands-free retraction throughout the procedure.
