Clinical Application
Used primarily to provide atraumatic exposure of the anterior cervical spine during anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) and other anterior neck procedures. The curved geometry supports retraction of platysma and deep soft tissues while allowing direct access to the vertebral bodies and disc spaces. Selection of blade size from the included set permits tailored exposure for variable patient anatomy and operative levels.
Design & Configuration
The curved blade profile conforms to the anterior cervical contour to maximize working space and visualization while minimizing pressure on adjacent soft tissues. A modular blade system with five blades provides incremental options for depth and width of exposure, enabling the surgeon to choose the most appropriate blade for the operative level and patient habitus. The open blade design facilitates suction and instrument passage through the exposure without frequent repositioning.
