Clinical Application
Small-profile retraction for controlled exposure of superficial wounds and incision edges. The narrow 35 x 10 mm blade provides a focused footprint for precise separation of skin, subcutaneous tissue and fascia without unnecessarily broad compression of surrounding tissue. The 21 cm overall length gives sufficient reach and leverage for procedures where a hand-held, quickly repositionable retractor is required, including general surgery, plastic and reconstructive procedures, ENT, hand surgery and select orthopedic approaches.
Design & Configuration
A flat, rectangular blade mounted on a single-ended handle allows direct, tactile retraction with immediate feedback for the surgeon. The narrow blade width minimizes exposure-related trauma while concentrating retracting force at the incision edge for better visualization in shallow to moderate-depth wounds. The hand-held configuration permits rapid repositioning during dissection or closure and is well suited to two-handed operative techniques where an assistant performs intermittent retraction.
