Clinical Application
Designed for use in radical and standard hysterectomy procedures, these Wertheim-style forceps are intended to securely grasp and occlude uterine pedicles, broad ligament tissues, and other soft-tissue bundles encountered during open gynecologic and oncologic surgery. The curved working tip facilitates access deep in the pelvis and around vascular pedicles to allow atraumatic positioning for suture ligation, vessel sealing, or division.
Design & Configuration
The curved geometry provides improved approach angle for pelvic anatomy, enabling the shaft and tip to follow the contour of the uterus and pelvic sidewall without excessive hand repositioning. Ring handles with an interlocking ratchet deliver controlled, repeatable clamping force. The 1x2 tooth jaw pattern offers a penetrating, positive grip appropriate for tissue pedicles and vascular bundles where secure purchase is required prior to ligation or division.
