Clinical Application

Designed for urologic procedures where controlled, atraumatic tissue handling is required. The tangential atraumatic jaw geometry facilitates side-on grasping and manipulation of urethral and bladder mucosa, catheters, stents and other delicate structures during transurethral cystoscopy, urethral procedures and select open urologic cases. The 26 cm length provides additional reach for working within the urethra, bladder or deeper pelvic cavities while maintaining tactile control.

Design & Configuration

The tangential jaw orientation places contact surfaces at an angle to the instrument shaft, enabling a side-loading approach that reduces direct compression on tissue. Atraumatic broad contact surfaces disperse gripping forces to minimize crushing and mucosal injury. The Fig.2 designation corresponds to a specific jaw profile commonly used in urology to balance secure hold with gentle tissue apposition, and the 26 cm shaft length improves access in longer working channels.
