Clinical Application
Designed for secure temporary occlusion of pedicles and medium-to-large vessels, this curved kidney pedicle clamp is commonly used during nephrectomy, partial nephrectomy, other urologic procedures, and pelvic or abdominal operations requiring controlled vascular occlusion. The geometry provides reliable vessel compression for hemostasis during ligation, transection or dissection of the renal pedicle and surrounding tissues.
Design & Configuration
The curved (cvd) profile and kidney-shaped jaws permit atraumatic, broad-surface contact with the pedicle to distribute compressive force and reduce point pressure, helping to minimize tissue cut-through while maintaining secure occlusion. The 24 cm length enables deep intra-abdominal and retroperitoneal reach without compromising surgeon ergonomics. A ratcheting lock on the handle provides controlled, adjustable retention so the clamp remains secure during vessel ligation and transection.
