Clinical Application
This curved hemostatic forceps is designed to occlude small-to-moderate blood vessels and provide secure tissue clamping during open surgical procedures. The instrument’s 25 cm length and curved jaw geometry make it suitable for use in general surgery, vascular procedures, gynecology, ENT and other specialties where deeper access and precise control of bleeding are required. It can also be used for blunt dissection and for temporarily securing tissue while suturing or ligating.
Design & Configuration
The curved geometry allows the jaws to approach vessels and tissue at an angle that improves visibility and access around anatomical structures, reducing the need for tissue retraction. A standard locking ratchet maintains sustained pressure without continuous manual force, enabling the surgeon to release the handle while the instrument holds. Ring handles provide familiar ergonomic control and tactile feedback for fine positional adjustments in confined fields.
