Clinical Application
Designed to provide firm, secure occlusion of medium-to-large blood vessels and tissue bundles. The straight Pean hemostat is commonly used for hemostasis during open abdominal, general, and trauma procedures, for applying temporary vascular control, and for grasping heavy tissue or surgical packs during dissection.
Design & Configuration
The straight geometry provides a direct line of sight and tactile feedback for controlled clamping in shallow-to-moderate depth wounds. The Pean-style transverse serrations distribute clamping force across a broad jaw surface to compress larger vessels and tissue without concentrated biting. A ratchet box lock secures instrument closure and maintains consistent occlusion during suturing or vessel ligation.
