Clinical Application
Used to obtain secure temporary occlusion of small-to-medium caliber vessels and control bleeding during open procedures. The compact 12.5 cm length makes it well suited to superficial dissections, wound control in confined operative fields, and routine vessel ligation in general, vascular, ENT, plastic and gynecologic surgery. It is commonly used to grasp and hold tissue during suture ligation and to maintain hemostasis while deeper work is performed.
Design & Configuration
Straight geometry provides direct alignment with the vessel or tissue plane for precise tip placement and predictable occlusive force. Narrow jaws with transverse serrations increase grip security while minimizing slippage, and the ratchet lock holds a consistent closure without continuous hand pressure—important for prolonged clamping during knot tying or exposure. The 12.5 cm overall length balances reach and tactile control for both superficial and moderately deep sites.
