Clinical Application
Designed to provide reliable hemostasis of small-to-medium caliber vessels, this straight Crile hemostatic forceps is used to clamp and control bleeding during dissection, vessel ligation and wound preparation. Its size and straight geometry make it well suited for superficial-to-mid-depth vessel control in general surgery, vascular, obstetrics/gynecology, ENT and many minor procedures where secure, atraumatic clamping is required.
Design & Configuration
The straight configuration delivers direct axial pressure and precise tip alignment, allowing the surgeon to compress vessels and hold tissues steadily along the operative field. A ratcheted handle locks the jaws in a closed position, maintaining continuous occlusion without sustained manual force. Longitudinal serrations on the jaw face increase surface contact and grip, reducing slippage while distributing compressive force to minimize tissue trauma.
