Clinical Application
This precision curette is intended for targeted scraping and controlled tissue removal during curettage procedures. Its spoon-shaped Fig.3 tip is suited for excision or sampling of soft tissue, removal of granulation or hyperplastic tissue, lesion debulking, and obtaining curettage specimens. The 14 cm length provides extended reach for use in deeper cavities or confined operative fields encountered in dermatology, ENT, gynecology and other minor surgical specialties.
Design & Configuration
The instrument's single-ended spoon (oval) tip concentrates scraping force at the rim and inner bowl, enabling controlled excision with tactile feedback. The Figure 3 tip represents a moderate bowl size that balances tissue capture with precision—useful when removing small lesions or performing focal debridement. The straight shank and 14 cm overall length improve access to deeper sites while preserving a familiar grip and wrist orientation for the operator.
