Clinical Application
Designed for directed tissue sampling and curettage, this instrument is used to obtain small mucosal or endometrial specimens with minimal surrounding tissue disruption. The basket configuration captures and retains excised tissue for retrieval, making it useful in gynecologic office or OR procedures (endometrial sampling and curettage) and in urologic bladder mucosal biopsy performed via endoscopic approaches.
Design & Configuration
The Kevorkian pattern combines a cutting curette profile with a specimen-retention basket. The narrow 1.2 mm basket tip permits passage through standard endoscopic working channels and provides controlled capture of small tissue fragments, reducing the likelihood of specimen loss during withdrawal. A 30 cm working length allows reach into the uterine cavity or bladder through common operative sheaths while maintaining tactile feedback for precise sampling.
Instrument Specifications
- Pattern: Kevorkian biopsy curette with basket
- Working length: 30 cm
- Tip aperture: 1.2 mm basket
- Intended uses: endometrial sampling, gynecologic curettage, bladder mucosal biopsy
- Reusable surgical instrument
Material & Construction
Constructed from surgical-grade stainless steel to provide corrosion resistance and durability for repeated reprocessing cycles. The integrated basket is formed to retain small specimens during extraction while preserving the cutting edge geometry necessary for effective sampling. Reusable design supports standard cleaning and sterilization workflows.
Quality & Compliance
Manufactured by FDA-registered OEM facilities and produced under strict quality control standards.
Brand Comparison
