Clinical Application
Designed for atraumatic probing and delineation of fistulous and sinus tracts, this curved hook is used to identify tract direction, facilitate controlled blunt dissection, and aid suture retrieval during fistulotomy, fistulectomy and related soft-tissue procedures. The slender curved tip permits controlled negotiation of curved or deep tracts where straight probes provide limited access.
Design & Configuration
The curved geometry and Fig.4 hook profile provide access to curved or obliquely oriented tracts while keeping the shaft clear of surrounding tissue. At 22 cm overall length the instrument offers extended reach for deeper or more posterior tracts without sacrificing tactile feedback. The single-point hook tip concentrates contact for precise engagement of the tract or suture, and the polished surface reduces drag and eases passage through tissue.
