Clinical Application
This 16-piece dilator set is intended to provide controlled mechanical cervical dilation prior to intrauterine procedures. Sequentially graduated tapered dilators allow clinicians to increase cervical diameter in measured increments, facilitating procedures such as dilation and curettage (D&C), hysteroscopy, endometrial biopsy, IUD insertion or removal, and other operative or diagnostic intrauterine interventions where atraumatic cervical dilation is required.
Design & Configuration
The set is configured as a sequence of tapered, graduated dilators that progress in diameter to permit gradual, controlled dilation. Smooth, rounded tips and consistent taper geometry reduce resistance at the cervical os and help minimize trauma during passage. Supplied in a pouch for organized storage and quick tray setup, the layout supports efficient selection in both ambulatory and operating room environments and keeps instruments together for reprocessing.
