Clinical Application

Designed for mechanical cervical dilation, this Hegar pattern dilator provides controlled, gradual enlargement of the cervical canal to permit access for intrauterine procedures. A 27.0 mm diameter is used when a larger calibrated cervical opening is required for procedures such as dilation & curettage, hysteroscopy setup, IUD insertion in select cases, or uterine sounding. The instrument is intended for use by clinicians trained in cervical dilation techniques and should be used with incremental progression through appropriate-sized dilators to reduce the risk of trauma or perforation.
