Clinical Application

Designed to provide reliable exposure of the vaginal canal and cervix for outpatient gynecologic procedures and examinations. Common uses include routine pelvic exams, cervical inspection and sampling (Pap smear), colposcopy, placement or removal of intrauterine devices, cervical biopsies, and minor in-office procedures where consistent anterior–posterior separation of the vaginal walls is required.

Design & Configuration

The bivalve, adjustable-opening geometry separates anterior and posterior vaginal walls to create a clear line of sight to the cervix and operative field. The 130 mm blade length offers deeper access for patients with a higher vaginal vault or when additional reach is needed, while the 35 mm maximum blade width provides a balance between exposure and patient comfort. Smooth, flat blades reduce focal pressure on mucosa and facilitate atraumatic insertion and retraction. An adjustable locking mechanism allows the practitioner to maintain exposure hands-free during specimen collection or instrument passage.
