Clinical Application
Provides atraumatic retraction and wide exposure of the vaginal walls and introitus for gynecologic procedures. Commonly used to maintain visualization and access during anterior or posterior repairs, vaginal hysterectomy steps, mucosal dissection, suturing and hemostasis. The broad blade distributes retraction force to minimize focal pressure on delicate mucosa while improving the operative field for the surgeon and assistant.
Design & Configuration
The broad 70 x 33 mm blade geometry offers a large surface area for even tissue retraction and improved visualization in confined vaginal canals. A hand-held single-blade format permits quick positioning and dynamic adjustment by the surgeon or assistant. Smooth, contoured edges and a low-profile blade reduce snagging on sutures and mucosa, helping to preserve tissue integrity during manipulation.
