Clinical Application
Designed to provide controlled exposure of the vaginal canal and cervix in patients with a deep or high vaginal vault. The deeper blade length facilitates visualization and access for routine pelvic exams, cervical sampling, intrauterine device placement, minor diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and colposcopy when additional depth is required. Its dimensions are useful in outpatient clinics, ambulatory surgery centers, labor and delivery settings, and specialty gynecology suites.
Design & Configuration
The deep Kristeller bivalve geometry features elongated blades that displace lateral vaginal walls while minimizing the need for repeated repositioning. A relatively narrow blade width reduces soft-tissue compression during insertion and provides a focused field of view. An adjustable aperture secures the blades at the chosen opening to maintain consistent exposure during examination or procedure.
