Clinical Application
Designed for direct visualization and atraumatic retraction of the vaginal walls to expose the cervix and vaginal canal. Commonly used in routine gynecologic examinations, Pap smear collection, colposcopy, IUD insertion and removal, and minor office-based cervical procedures where stable exposure of the cervix is required.
Design & Configuration
The bivalve two-blade configuration provides symmetric retraction of the anterior and posterior vaginal walls, creating a clear working channel for examination and instrumentation. The 100 x 38 mm blade dimensions offer a balance of length and width to access and visualize the cervix in many adult patients, permitting deeper exposure than shorter blades while maintaining control and patient comfort. Smooth, flat blade geometry minimizes localized pressure on mucosa during insertion and manipulation.
