Clinical Application
Designed to stabilize and retract lobular tissue, this lobe-holding forceps is used to secure organ lobes during exposure, dissection, stapling and suturing. Its working geometry makes it suitable for thoracic applications (for example, manipulating pulmonary lobes) as well as general surgical cases where controlled atraumatic grasp of a lobe-like structure is needed to improve visualization and permit safe instrument or stapler placement.
Design & Configuration
The instrument’s 20 cm length provides reach into deeper operative fields while retaining tactile control at the handle. Jaws are configured to cradle and hold lobular tissue with an atraumatic profile to minimize crush injury while maintaining reliable fixation during retraction and stapling. The shank and handle geometry allow fine adjustment of grip force and positioning without excessive bulk in the surgical field.
