Clinical Application
This instrument is designed to provide atraumatic retraction and exposure of the rectal canal and perianal tissues. It aids visualization and instrument access for procedures such as hemorrhoidectomy, fissure/fistula repair, local excision of rectal lesions, anoscopy-assisted procedures and other lower colorectal interventions where direct manual retraction is required.
Design & Configuration
The flat, rectangular blade geometry provides a broad contact surface to distribute retraction forces and minimize focal pressure on mucosa. The 65 x 22 mm blade size offers sufficient width for effective retraction while the 21 cm overall length supplies reach into the lower rectum without excessive shaft length that can impede control. The handheld configuration enables single-operator manipulation and rapid repositioning during exposure, suturing, irrigation, or inspection.
