Clinical Application

This compact 14 mm mirror head is intended for indirect laryngoscopy and clinical visualization of the larynx, vocal folds and adjacent pharyngeal structures. Its smaller diameter is useful when oral opening is limited and for targeted visualization in outpatient ENT exams, preoperative evaluations, intraoperative adjunct inspection, and speech/language pathology assessments. The low-profile mirror minimizes tongue and soft-tissue displacement and helps reduce the gag reflex during examination.

Design & Configuration

The Fig. 2 configuration supplies a round, low-profile reflective surface optimized for focused views of the glottic area. Supplied without a handle, the mirror head is intended for use with compatible detachable handles or handle assemblies, permitting sterile handling, quick replacement and flexible kit configuration. The small diameter facilitates access in tighter oral cavities and allows clinicians to direct illumination and line-of-sight precisely to the target tissue.
