Clinical Application
Designed for controlled curettage and debridement within the maxillary antrum and adjacent sinonasal spaces. Common applications include removal of diseased mucosa, granulation tissue, small polyps, and residual debris during ENT and maxillofacial procedures such as antral washout, Caldwell-Luc approaches, adjunctive work during functional endoscopic sinus surgery, and management of oroantral communications.
Design & Configuration
The 17 cm shaft length provides reach into the antral cavity via transnasal or transoral trajectories while maintaining tactile feedback. The Fig.6 geometry is intended to deliver the angled approach and working profile necessary to access lateral and posterior recesses of the maxillary antrum. The scooped curette tip permits controlled scraping and tissue removal with minimal collateral disruption, enabling precise debridement in confined sinonasal anatomy.
