Clinical Application
This instrument combines a dissecting tip and an elevator blade to separate tissue planes and elevate periosteum or soft tissue flaps. It is used to develop and expand pockets, free adhesions, and delineate tissue layers during procedures in ENT, oral and maxillofacial surgery, plastic and reconstructive cases, and other soft-tissue operations where controlled blunt and sharp dissection is required. The 22 cm length provides additional reach for deeper exposures while maintaining manual control for delicate manipulation.
Design & Configuration
The double-ended configuration places a dedicated dissecting tip on one end and an elevator blade on the other, reducing instrument changes and improving procedural efficiency. The instrument’s longer 22 cm shaft increases reach into oral, pharyngeal, or deeper soft-tissue spaces while preserving tactile feedback and leverage for elevating periosteum or undermining flaps. The slender profile minimizes bulk in confined operative fields and aids visualization of the working tip.
