Clinical Application
Provides atraumatic separation of the nasal vestibule and anterior nasal cavity to facilitate visual inspection, anterior rhinoscopy and minor in-office or operative procedures. Common applications include foreign body removal, mucosal inspection, localized cauterization, anterior septal assessment, and facilitating instrumentation during septoplasty or endoscopic setup when anterior exposure is required.
Design & Configuration
The two-blade Killian geometry delivers focused lateral retraction of the nasal walls while maintaining a clear line of sight for the surgeon. The S/J configuration paired with a side-mounted screw allows controlled incremental opening and positive locking to maintain a stable field without continuous manual retraction. The blade length supports adequate reach into the anterior and mid portions of the nasal cavity while keeping the handles accessible for bimanual work.
