Clinical Application
Designed for controlled irrigation and lavage of the external auditory canal, this instrument facilitates removal of cerumen, debris, and particulate material and aids delivery of topical solutions. It is used in ENT outpatient clinics, ambulatory surgery centers, and procedural suites where precise fluid delivery and atraumatic access to the canal are required.
Design & Configuration
The preformed Fig.5 curvature provides an approach geometry intended to follow the natural trajectory of the external auditory canal, improving line-of-sight and reducing the need for excessive instrument manipulation. The hollow single-lumen design permits continuous flow for irrigation or aspiration when connected to compatible suction/irrigation systems. An atraumatic rounded distal tip minimizes the risk of mucosal injury during introduction and contact with the canal walls.
