Clinical Application

Designed to provide a clear, atraumatic entry into the external auditory canal, this speculum is used for direct otoscopic examination and procedural visualization during routine ENT evaluations. It supports inspection of the ear canal and tympanic membrane and facilitates minor in-office procedures such as cerumen removal and foreign body retrieval when used with standard otoscope illumination and instrumentation.

Design & Configuration

The conical (funnel) geometry centers and dilates the ear canal to maximize the examiner’s view while minimizing contact with canal walls. The 6.5 mm aperture balances visual access and patient comfort for many adult examinations. As a removable speculum tip for Siegle-style handles, it secures to the otoscope for stable alignment of optics and illumination and can be exchanged quickly between patients or procedures.
