Clinical Application
Designed for otologic examination and procedures that require direct visualization of the external auditory canal and tympanic membrane under a microscope or headlamp. The 5.0 mm tip is commonly used for adult ear canals and provides a stable working channel for suction, irrigation and removal of cerumen or small foreign bodies. The antireflex finish reduces glare and stray reflections, improving contrast and visualization during diagnostic and minor procedural tasks.
Design & Configuration
The antireflex geometry incorporates a non‑reflective internal surface and a tapered, funnel‑shaped opening to center the visual field and minimize light scatter from microscope or overhead illumination. The conical tip creates a controlled working aperture that helps align instruments and suction tips while maintaining a clear line of sight to the canal and tympanic membrane. Fig. 3 sizing provides a mid‑range diameter suitable for many adult patients while allowing access for common microsurgical accessories.
