Clinical Application
Designed for direct visualization and access to the external auditory canal and tympanic membrane during diagnostic otoscopy and minor aural procedures. The graduated set provides size options for adult and pediatric canals and supports tasks such as cerumen removal, microsuction, foreign body removal, and intraoperative microscopic inspection of the ear canal.
Design & Configuration
The antireflex geometry features a tapered, conical lumen that facilitates atraumatic entry into the canal and helps maintain a stable viewing corridor. Multiple diameters in the set let clinicians select the smallest effective outer diameter to minimize canal wall contact while preserving an adequate working channel for suction or instrumentation. The flared/funnel tip profile eases alignment with the canal axis, improving visualization of the tympanic membrane under direct or microscopic inspection.
