Clinical Application
Designed for controlled, atraumatic dilation of blood vessels and other tubular structures. The instrument is used to enlarge luminal diameter progressively during open vascular and certain endovascular procedures, facilitating introduction of sheaths, catheters, grafts or sutures and aiding vessel preparation in bypass, access creation and peripheral vascular interventions.
Design & Configuration
The straight, elongated geometry provides direct tactile feedback and precise control during incremental dilation. A gradual taper to the 5.0 mm nominal diameter allows stepwise enlargement with reduced risk of intimal trauma compared with blunt instruments. The 19 cm working length offers reach for deeper field access while maintaining surgeon control in confined operative sites.
