Clinical Application
Designed for neonatal and pediatric surgical environments, this curved delicate clamp provides controlled occlusion of small vessels and atraumatic handling of fragile tissues. Common uses include umbilical vessel control, neonatal and pediatric general surgical procedures, small-vessel hemostasis in ENT and plast reconstructions on infants, and tissue approximation in confined operative fields where minimal crush and precise control are required.
Design & Configuration
The curved geometry improves line-of-sight and access around small structures and into shallow or angled operative pockets. Fine, delicate jaws reduce tissue trauma while providing secure grip on thin vessel walls or delicate soft tissue. A Figure 6 pattern indicates a compact hemostatic clamp profile with relatively short, slender jaws and shanks—useful when working in neonatal anatomy where reach and tactile feedback are important. An integrated ratchet lock permits consistent clamping pressure and hands-free occlusion when needed.
