Clinical Application
Designed to provide temporary occlusion of the ascending or descending aorta and other large-caliber vessels during open cardiovascular and vascular procedures. Common uses include proximal control in aneurysm repair, vascular anastomosis preparation, thoracic and abdominal aortic procedures, and situations requiring secure, atraumatic clamping in deep or narrow operative fields.
Design & Configuration
The left-oriented geometry places the jaws and shaft in a configuration that facilitates access and visualization when working from the patient’s right side or when a leftward approach is required. At 26 cm overall length, the instrument provides extended reach to the mediastinum or retroperitoneum while keeping the handles clear of the operative field. Atraumatic jaw surfaces are intended to minimize intimal injury and distribute occlusive pressure over a broader area. A box-lock hinge and multi-tooth ratchet provide secure, adjustable clamping force and reliable engagement during prolonged control.
Instrument Specifications
- Type: Aortic clamp (large-vessel occlusion)
- Pattern: Weber Atrauma, left configuration
- Overall length: 26 cm
- Jaw characteristic: Atraumatic design for reduced endothelial trauma
- Typical use: Proximal aortic control, vascular exposure and occlusion
- Construction: Surgical-grade stainless steel, reusable
Material & Construction
Fabricated from surgical-grade stainless steel for corrosion resistance and repeated sterilization cycles. The instrument employs a robust box-lock hinge and ratchet locking mechanism to maintain controlled occlusion. Finished jaw surfaces are designed to be atraumatic to vessel walls while providing secure grip on large-caliber vessels. Constructed for reusable clinical use and compatible with standard sterilization methods including steam autoclave.
Quality & Compliance
Manufactured by FDA-registered OEM facilities and produced under strict quality control standards.
Brand Comparison
