Clinical Application
Designed for fine dissection and atraumatic manipulation, this hook is used to isolate, elevate and retract delicate nerves and small-caliber vessels under direct vision. Common applications include peripheral nerve surgery, neurosurgery, ENT, head and neck procedures, plastic and reconstructive cases, and vascular exposure where controlled point contact and gentle elevation of structures is required.
Design & Configuration
The single-ended hook geometry (Fig.3) provides a defined point of contact to engage and mobilize filiform structures without occupying substantial field space. The long, slender shaft affords access into deeper or confined anatomical corridors while allowing the surgeon to control tension and orientation precisely. This configuration facilitates separation of tissues along natural planes and aids in blunt dissection when identifying neurovascular bundles.
