Clinical Application
Designed to assist in precise repositioning of small bone fragments while providing an integrated guidance sleeve for a 1 mm drill bit, this instrument is intended for procedures that require simultaneous manipulation and accurate drill trajectory control. Common applications include small-bone fixation, craniofacial and maxillofacial reduction, hand and wrist osteosynthesis, and other ENT or dental procedures where controlled alignment and limited drill diameter are required.
Design & Configuration
The forceps geometry allows the surgeon to grasp and hold bone fragments securely while the built-in 1 mm drill guide maintains drill alignment without the need for a separate guide instrument. The 17 cm overall length provides reach into deeper or confined surgical fields while preserving tactile feedback at the jaws. An integrated drill sleeve adjacent to the jaws facilitates co-axial drilling through the held fragment, helping reduce toggle or off-axis drilling during fixation.
