Clinical Application
Designed for controlled incisions and scoring of meniscal tissue during knee surgery, this curved meniscotomy knife is used to create precise longitudinal cuts, trim unstable meniscal flaps, and facilitate partial meniscectomy. Its curved geometry aids access to medial and lateral posterior horn regions and contouring along the meniscal rim in both arthroscopic portal work and mini-open procedures.
Design & Configuration
The curved blade geometry provides an improved approach angle to posterior and peripheral meniscal tissue, allowing the surgeon to follow the meniscal curvature with minimal instrument repositioning. A slim shaft and curved profile reduce soft-tissue interference and improve visualization when working through arthroscopic portals or limited exposures. The overall 22 cm length offers balance between reach into the joint and tactile control at the handle.
