Clinical Application
Designed for controlled elevation of periosteum and mucoperiosteal flaps, this long-handled elevator enables access to deep or narrow surgical sites. Common applications include oral and maxillofacial procedures (tooth exposure, alveoloplasty, implant site preparation), ENT and rhinologic subperiosteal dissection, facial trauma repair, and plastic surgery where separation of soft tissue from bone is required. The narrow blade profile facilitates atraumatic subperiosteal dissection and precise plane development.
Design & Configuration
The extended 29.5 cm length provides reach into deeper cavities and posterior sites without excessive retraction or hand intrusion into the field. The narrow, spatulated blade concentrates lifting force along a small working edge for controlled, blunt elevation of periosteum from cortical bone. A long, rigid shaft preserves tactile feedback at the tip, allowing the surgeon to feel tissue resistance and limit inadvertent cortical injury. The overall geometry favors one-handed manipulation and improved visualization in confined operative corridors.
