Clinical Application
This Spratt-pattern bone curette is intended for controlled removal and smoothing of bone and for debridement of granulation tissue at bony surfaces. Its concave cutting rim is used to scrape cortical and cancellous bone during procedures such as small-bone orthopedics, ENT (mastoid and middle-ear work), craniofacial procedures, podiatry and dental surgery where precise, tactile bone removal or shaping is required.
Design & Configuration
The Spratt-style concave spoon tip provides a defined cutting rim that permits controlled bites of bone or soft tissue while minimizing uncontrolled gouging. The 16.5 cm overall length offers reach into confined cavities and recesses without sacrificing tactile feedback. The bowl-shaped tip geometry concentrates cutting force at the rim and facilitates collection of small bone fragments and tissue for inspection or sampling.
