Clinical Application
This curved Lambotte bone osteotome is designed for controlled chisel-style bone cutting and shaping in orthopedic and trauma procedures. It is used to perform osteotomies, remove thin cortical plates, create bone windows, and contour bone surfaces where precise, directed force is required. The curved profile improves access around anatomical contours and into locations where a straight osteotome would be difficult to seat.
Design & Configuration
The curved geometry permits the blade to follow convex or recessed surfaces and approach bone from oblique angles without excessive soft-tissue retraction. A 50 mm chisel blade provides broad contact for scoring and levering cortical bone, while a 23 cm overall length offers increased reach and leverage for deeper or larger surgical fields. The beveled chisel tip concentrates impact force for controlled cutting when used with a mallet or hand pressure.
