Clinical Application
Designed for controlled handling and placement of suture needles in delicate soft-tissue procedures, this Reverdin-style needle holder facilitates precise needle orientation and passage in limited-access fields. Its 15 cm length provides a balance of reach and tactile control, making it appropriate for ophthalmic, plastic, hand, ENT and other microsurgical or fine-suture applications where delicate tissue handling and accurate needle seating are required.
Design & Configuration
The instrument features a compact jaw profile and slender shank geometry to minimize obstruction of the surgical field while delivering close tactile feedback at the tip. The Fig.2 pattern denotes a fine jaw variant optimized for small needles and delicate suturing tasks. The short jaws concentrate clamping force near the needle shaft for a secure grip with minimal slippage, enabling precise rotation and placement of the needle with minimal tissue trauma.
