Clinical Application
Designed to provide broad, controlled exposure of superficial and moderately deep surgical sites. The wide 100 x 30 mm blade is intended to retract skin, subcutaneous tissue, and muscle edges during open procedures where a broad area of exposure is required. Common applications include general surgery, plastic and reconstructive procedures, ENT exposure, and orthopedic soft-tissue retraction where a handheld instrument is preferred over small hooks or narrow blades.
Design & Configuration
The long 25 cm shaft gives reach into deeper wounds while keeping the handle and the assistant’s hand clear of the operative field. A broad rectangular blade distributes retraction force across a larger surface area, reducing focal pressure on tissue and improving visualization of the operative site. As a handheld retractor, it provides quick, adjustable retraction by an assistant and is suitable for sequential retraction during tissue dissection, hemostasis, and closure.
