Clinical Application

This instrument is designed to provide controlled retraction and exposure of intranasal soft tissues. It is commonly used during septoplasty, open and closed rhinoplasty, turbinate reduction and other ENT procedures where fine, localized retraction of the mucoperichondrium, lower lateral cartilage or lateral nasal wall is required. The geometry supports direct visualization and access for excision, suturing, graft placement and hemostasis in confined nasal spaces.

Design & Configuration

The handheld design with the Fig. 1 blade profile delivers focused retraction with tactile feedback for delicate tissue handling. The angled blade geometry helps displace soft tissues away from the operative field while minimizing the need for excessive force, improving access in narrow cavities. A 15 cm overall length balances intraoral/intranasal reach with instrument control for both endonasal and external approaches.
